SON of MAESTRO

The Long Neck: the prolonged, involuntary and repetitive head thrusting that occurs in the presence of hard and soulful grooves.

This remix is my humble attempt to pay homage to a music that was born of the African diaspora. These sounds, cultivated over generations in juke joints, woodsheds and block parties, spawned what would become know as the Blues, Jazz, Rock, Funk and Hip Hop.

My inspiration for this track came from:

I hope you’ll find that I did justice to the excellent source material provided by Charlie Hunter, Eric Harland and The Loop Loft. Also, I have to acknowledge Propellerhead and their marvel of modern science—Reason. What an awesome fucking music-making toolkit you’ve put in my hands!!
